Any cat placed in a strange and frightening environment will be scared and defensive. They need time to aclimate themselves and feel unthreatened. What are these people thinking. Becky you are a true cat person. Good for you Pets Alive!

We're currently trying to stop the bill from coming to a vote. It's still alive but things are looking good to stop it. See recent blog entries for some ways you can help.

Thank you so much for saving Destiny... and so many other animals. You are one of few rescue organizations which is not afraid to speak against evil perpetrated by ASPCA which means you've got balls. Which counts as much as individual animal lives - in the long term - it means perhaps more. Hats off to you Pets Alive!

Does anyone know if this was passed? Has it come to a vote yet? This is appalling, I used to want to volunteer for the ASPCA, not anymore! I have three cats currently if this bill was in action they'd probably all be dead cause my 2 kittens were feral born and infested with parasites, now they're healthy and happy because they came from a small cat rescue. I'm just a teenager so my voice probably doesn't count for much but please, fr the animals DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN!

I don't think animal hoarders go to shelters to adopt. I think they usually take in strays. If the shelters had a minimum price for adoption it would eliminate a lot of this.

But if we don't HOARD, how are we supposed to make enough kitten fur coats to meet demand?

P.S. Are those ones in the photo spoken for? It's chilly here this morning.
